Chinai College : College Site

Shri Chinai College of Commerce and Economics owes its existence to the noble vision of three eminent businessmen, social workers and educationists viz. Sir Mathuradas Vissanji, Sheth Laherchand Uttamchand Javeri & Shri Jivanlal Chinai. They came together to z=set up a college complex : Shri Chinai College of Commerce and Economics, Sir M.V. College of Science and Sheth L.U. Jhaveri College of Arts in 1963.

The institution was declared ‘open’ by the Union Minister of Education, Shri M.C.Chagla. Among others who were present at occasion to bless were Dr. R.V. Sathe, Vice-Chancellor of Mumbai University, Shri Shantilal Shah Minister for Health and Law and several educationists as well as principal of colleges.
